West Branch running back Derek Yingling eclipsed 1000 rushing yards on the season during Friday’s win against Mount Union. Through five games, Yingling has rushed for 1,004 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. Yingling rushed for 1,400 yards through 10 games last season.

“Hard Work definitely pays off,” West Branch Head Coach Kevin Hubler stated. “Derek has done all of the little things to put himself in this position. He makes the most out of every opportunity to better himself as a football player, whether it be off-season workouts, summer workouts, morning workouts, or giving it his all during practice. I couldn’t be happier to see him succeed.”
