The Class of 2024 will participate in the annual senior formals on Tuesday, Sept. 19. Seniors have applied for an appointment slot of about 10 minutes at the senior class meeting on Friday, Sept. 8.
According to Mrs. Levonick, English dept. head and advisor of both Yearbook and Warrior Watch, the senior boys will be provided with a white collared shirt, jacket, and tie. The boys are also expected to have their hair and facial hair groomed accordingly. The senior girls will be given a black drape and pearls, with the option to wear their own jewelry. Also, girls may choose how they want to wear their hair and decide to wear any other accessories they may want to show off. However, girls should be prepared to wear a camisole or other thin-strapped tank top for their pictures, due to the drapes not giving complete coverage. Picture day itself can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. Sitting and smiling for the camera is a dreaded day for some people. For some others, it can be exhilarating and can give them another way to express themselves. Picture day allows a time for everyone to have this moment in their lives captured in the yearbook.
When asked about his thoughts on picture day senior Noah Emigh said, “I always try to make my pictures look good for my grandparents’ fridge magnet collection.” Senior Isaac Tiracorda also commented on his thoughts about picture day. “I don’t enjoy it, but it is something we all have to go through for us to have yearbooks,” said Tiracorda.
Every Senior will be required to have a formal picture taken. Underclassmen will also have their photographs taken on September 19, 2023. Ordering information and picture forms have been sent home previously, on Monday, September 11, 2023. Students have also been given the option to order their photos online.
