Owen Koleno scored his 1000th point on Friday, February 2, 2024, against the Curwensville Golden Tide. Coming into the night, Owen was just 9 points away from the prestigious 1,000-point club. Koleno ended up getting 15 points on the night. He achieved his 1,000th point midway into the second quarter. With recent injuries, it was uncertain how he’d produce for this team, however, he has pushed through and remained a staple of the Warrior team.

Koleno commented on the moment, “It was a great moment that could not have been done without my teammates and coaches along the way. It was always been a goal of mine and I could not be more happy and grateful for it.”

Owen is only in his junior season, after coming off of a stellar 450-point season as a sophomore, he looks to keep pushing into the postseason and into his senior year. Koleno also won the team’s MVP last season.

Owen and the Warriors will have a rematch of their ICC championship game last year in the first round of the ICC playoffs. They will take on the Spartans of McConellsburg at Claysburg-Kimmel on Friday, February 16.
