This year’s boys’ basketball team has been chosen as Warrior Watch’s Team of the Week for the week ending on 3/1/24. The 2023-2024 boys’ basketball team has reached the pinnacle of West Branch basketball history. The team not only has the best record in WB basketball history with a record of 24-3, but they also won the District 6 Title for the first time. Juniors Lukas Colton and Joel Evans provided some insight on why they think their team is so successful this season. “We came back this year wanting to go to Mount Aloysius and win rather than go there and get blown out like last year,” Colton stated. “We focused more on defense and rebounding at practice this season, which helped us,” Evans added. The team is excited to start the state tournament this Saturday at 3 pm against Serra Catholic, with West Branch hosting. The doors will open at 2 pm, and tickets are available online.
