Sophomore Conner Danko has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 9/22/2024. Danko is playing his first year as the starting quarterback for the Warrior football team. Danko has racked up 667 yards in five games, averaging 135.4 yards/game. In his recent game against Juniata Valley, he threw an 86-yard touchdown to Easton Emigh. In addition to his role as a quarterback, Danko is also a defensive end for the Warriors. He has 24 sacks on the season and a fumble recovery.

Senior captain Craig Fluck commented on Danko’s performance, saying, “He’s been one of the best if not the best player on our team day in and day out. He has put his body on the line with every offensive play he makes and then goes to play defense. He deserves all the props for this half and he will keep getting better and better. He’s gonna be a heck of a player and leader in the near future.”
