On Thursday, March 20, the Warrior Track and Field team traveled to Tyrone to face the Golden Eagles of Tyrone and the Homer Center Wildcats for their first meet of the season.

The girls’ team had an unexpected turnout this year with plenty of athletes to fill every event. On the other hand, the boy’s team has low numbers this year. Coach Adam Carr says, “ I thought our track meet against Tyrone and Homer Center was a success. Even though our boys’ team lost to both teams, we got some valuable experience, and have a better idea of where our weaknesses are. For the girls, I was excited about our win over Homer-Center. Our team is young and inexperienced, so pulling off a win this early in the season is awesome. The girls also got some valuable experience, which will lead us to more wins.” The Warrior track and field team will travel to Bellwood Antis on Thursday, March 27th, for their first conference meet.
