West Branch Quarterback Ayden Gutierrez has been chosen as the Warrior Watch’s male athlete of the week for the week ending on 9/30/18. Ayden has been proving his capability by playing vital positions on the field for the West Branch football team after having to step-up and play quarterback this year after the previous quarterback moved out of the district. On Friday’s homecoming game against Everett, Gutierrez went 10-22 with 218 yards, his best yet this season, and he also threw a touchdown pass. Besides the great stats, the Warriors were unable to defeat Everett losing in overtime.
“Playing football with these guys has made me a better person. In football, you’re constantly being pushed to be the best you can. I’ve developed a strong work ethic and I also have made many bonds that will last a lifetime,” Ayden said about the Warriors football team.
