Makena Moore has been selected as the Warrior Watch Athlete of the Week for the week ending 5/16/2025. Moore is coming off a historic week that saw her reach her 100th hit and 700th strikeout. The success is nothing new to Moore, as she leads the team in batting average (.580) and ERA (1.45).

When asked how important Moore is to the team’s success, senior Layla Thompson said, “She is a very big part of the team, She brings the energy and has a positive attitude. She always comes up with a big hit or a big strikeout when the team needs it the most.”

Moore and the Warriors will take part in the ICC Championship tournament before beginning district play. They are ranked third in the PIAA Single A tournament and will host sixth-seeded River Valley. The team hopes to make a deep run in the district and state playoffs.
