Rachelle Sidorick began teaching at West Branch this year, 2025–2026. She teaches grades 9–12 Physical Education, 7–8 Physical Education, Online Physical Education, and the elective Nutrition and Wellness.

Sidorick graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in 2006. There, she was a student-athlete, playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was also very involved in clubs, including Key Club, Women’s Choir, Select Choir, and Letterman’s Club.

After high school, she attended Clarion University and Edinboro University to earn her teaching degree. At Clarion, she majored in Sports Management and minored in Athletic Coaching. She played on the Clarion softball team and worked in the Athletic Department as an Equipment Manager. After that, she went to Edinboro, where she completed her teaching certification in Health and Physical Education. She also received her Master’s degree in Middle and Secondary Education.

After the 2023–2024 school year, Deborah Gomola, the former girls’ Physical Education teacher, retired. For the 2024–2025 year, Danny Clark stepped in to take her place. Lester Smeal, the former boys’ Physical Education teacher, retired after this past school year, leaving the spot open for Mr. Clark to teach the boys and Mrs. Sidorick to teach the girls.

Although this is her first year teaching at West Branch, she taught at the Philipsburg-Osceola School District for 13 years. She spent 10 years teaching PE and Health at the high school level and three years teaching at the elementary level (K–5), also in PE. This experience gives her a strong foundation for teaching here at West Branch.

Senior Kyla Kephart says, “She is super fun and always makes sure we have fun in her gym class. She even participates with her students in class and is always fun to talk to about anything!”

The West Branch community warmly welcomes Mrs. Sidorick and wishes her continued success and happiness throughout her teaching career.
