Athlete of the Week: Lexie Mulhollem

For the week ending on October 24th, Lexie Mulhollem has been chosen as the female Athlete of the Week. Junior Lexie Mulhollem has been on the volleyball team for three years. She is number fourteen, and she plays outside hitter for the West Branch volleyball team.

Currently, as of October 10th, Lexie Mulhollem has 510 kills and 251 sets played. She is 3rd on the team for kills as a junior. Lexie Mulhollem is third in total blocks with twenty-one. She is also third in kills this season with 199. At the tournament on Saturday, October 18th, Mulhollem had thirty-four kills through fourteen sets. She is sure to be a player to look out for in the upcoming ICC and District games

Brielle Bainey, Mulhollem’s teammate, had this to say about her performance in the ECC tournament on Saturday, “Lexie is a very strong hitter upfront, and she is very smart with the ball. It’s hard to be a younger player on a team of seniors and still step up all the time.”

What is your dream job? My dream job is to be a nurse practitioner.

What is your favorite volleyball memory? My favorite volleyball memory is when we went to the Indiana team camp and [Coach] Terry flew over the speed bumps.
