For this week’s athlete of the week, Brayden Willamson has been chosen for the week ending October 31st. Brayden Williamson, number 4 on the field, has been playing football for three years at receiver. However, in this game, he was playing quarterback for the Warriors after starting QB Conner Danko went down, creating a need for a replacement.
Brayden Williamson stepped up and started the game for the Warriors for the first time at QB. He managed to throw for 34 yards and a touchdown to junior Justin Esposti. Brayden also ran a massive 40-yard touchdown, being a key part of both of the Warriors’ touchdowns.
Conner Danko, Brayden’s teammate, commented on Brayden’s performance Friday night: “The quarterback is not an easy position by any means, and when you can step in and put 2 scores on the board, that’s impressive. He took command of the offense, and he was the commander-in-chief that night. He looked well and had good fundamentals. He took what the defense gave him, and that’s all you can ask.”
