Athlete of the Week: Lindsey Bainey 

Bainey leads the Lady Warrior softball team from behind the plate as a catcher and at the plate as a dominant player.

Lindsey Bainey has been selected as the Warrior Watch Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 4/12/2026. Bainey returns this year as the Warriors’ starting catcher. Bainey has hit three home runs already this season, after only seven games have been played. She also leads the team in batting average, hitting 0.500. Her fielding percentage is good for the highest on the team at 0.974, only having one error this season. A key performance for Bainey was her home run and three RBIs she racked up in the Warriors’ game against Claysburg-Kimmel

 

Teammate Bella Nelson comments, “ Lindsey stepped up to be a team leader as a freshman, and is continuing to fulfill that role this season. She has been a key part of our team ever since.”
