MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge

MathWorks+Math+Modeling+Challenge

Up for a challenge? You can participate in the MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge (M3 Challenge)!

What is the M3 Challenge?

The M3 Challenge is an event where students cooperate together to solve a real-world math problem.

When does the M3 Challenge take place?

The M3 Challenge takes place on the weekend of March 1st to March 4th. (The coach will specify a time.) Students have 14 hours to solve the problem given to them.

Who can participate?

Any student in the 11th or 12th grade can participate in the challenge. Students will be grouped into teams of three to five people.

What if I win?

The top six teams receive scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $20,000. This is divided equally among the team members and paid directly to the college in which he/she enrolls.

How do I sign up?

You can see Mrs. Fry in room 211 if you’re interested in participating in the M3 Challenge.
