To many, Deer Season is a time when families gather in the woods in search of the beautiful Whitetail Deer. To others, it’s a time when old friends meet at a camp to carry on traditions. Many hunters also venture into the woods by themselves to conquer the elusive species. As the season has became underappreciated and a “thing of the past” to many parts of our nation, West Branch still continues to honor the yearly tradition. The first day of Deer Season falls on the Monday after Thanksgiving every year. West Branch gives students the first two days of Deer Season off, and many students take advantage of this opportunity.
