Sophomore, Olivia Straka, has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 10/20/19. She is being recognized for scoring two goals against Moshannon Valley that landed the Lady Warriors in the Northern ICC Championship game.
Olivia has been playing soccer since she was in kindergarten and has played for the varsity team since ninth grade. Olivia is a solid offensive player in the lady warriors’ starting lineup, being that she plays both striker and attacking midfielder. Her accurate and sharp passes allow her teammates to get scoring opportunities often during games. Olivia has two assists this season, as well as eleven goals in total this season and twenty-four for her career.
As the end of the 2019-2020 season ends, Olivia hopes that her team makes it to the district championship game and wins, as well as she hopes they go to states and do just as well.
