Warrior Watch’s Staff Member of the Month for November is Mrs. Betty Fry. Mrs. Fry has contributed to the mathematics program at West Branch for over 20 years. She is an alumnus of the school and graduated in 1987. Mrs. Fry is well known by the students for her outstanding school spirit, caring and intelligent personality, and one-hit-wonder “The West Branch Pi Rap”. Over her time as a teacher at West Branch, Mrs. Fry has taught Calculus, Geometry, Algebra and according to Mrs. Fry, “every other math class there is.”After being a student at West Branch herself, Mrs. Fry decided to stay in the community to pursue her career. Mrs. Fry’s inspiration was Mr. Leskovan, her calculus teacher, who she says made the class fun. The kids have grown close with Mrs. Fry as their teacher and appreciate all the hard work she has done to create learning opportunities for her students.
