The Lady Warrior volleyball team beat the Lady Bulldogs of Claysburg-Kimmel with no effort in Tuesday night’s home game. After the Lady Warriors suffered a loss at Claysburg’s home court in 2018, they were determined to make a comeback for the second year in a row in order to prove their excellence. Starting the night off strong, the Lady Warriors downed Claysburg-Kimmel with a score of 25-14. In the second set, the Warriors continued powerfully with a 25-16 win. In the final set, head coach Terry Trude decided to give a few underclassmen some experience. The Lady Warriors concluded the game with a score of 25-17 in Set 3.
The Lady Warriors had a few standouts throughout the night. Taylor Myers was the leading hitter of the night, accumulating 13 kills and 4 blocks. Emma Morlock led the team in passing, racking up 7 digs. Morgan Glace guided the team in serving, achieving 12 service points, as well as 19 assists. The Lady Warriors travel to Mount Union on September 24th to compete against the Lady Trojans at 7:00 pm.
