The Lady Warrior volleyball team dominated the Clearfield Lady Bison in 3 sets during Monday night’s home match. The first set of the night was very brisk, ending with a score of 25-4. In the second set, the Lady Warriors carried on their success, finishing with a score of 25-10. In the third and final set, head coach Terry Trude allowed some junior varsity players to acquire some experience and they wrapped up the game with a score of 25-15. “We had a strong serving game, passed well and Clearfield was out of system most of the night with our hard-hitting. Our team played really well tonight,” said Trude.
All-around the Lady Warriors had a fantastic game, including exceptional statistics. Abby Gallaher was a standout in Monday night’s game, racking up 10 kills. Meghan Cantolina added 8 kills while Taylor Myers had 2 blocks. Emma Morlock led the Warriors in digs with 10 and Morgan Glace had 27 assists. Both Corrin Evans and Myers had long service runs throughout the game, Evans achieved 15 service points while Myers added 10. The JV team won their match in 2 sets. The Lady Warriors travel to Juniata Valley to take on the Lady Hornets tonight at 7:00 pm.
