Lady Warriors Take Down Previously Undefeated Glendale

The Lady Warriors took on the Lady Vikings of Glendale on Thursday evening, resulting in a strong win. Coming into the game, Glendale was undefeated, while the Lady Warriors had only one loss. The Lady Warriors knew the game was not going to be easy, so they started off strong with a 25-10 win in the first set. In the second set, they continued their strong play and pulled out a 25-12 win. In the third set, the Lady Vikings kicked into gear, creating difficult gameplay for the Lady Warriors. This set resulted in a win for the Lady Vikings with a close score of 22-25. The fourth and final set was also a tight game, but the Lady Warriors came out with a win of 25-22 to wrap it up. “This game prepared us for what a district match would be like and I’m happy with the strong finish,” said Head Coach Terry Trude. 

The Lady Warriors also had an exceptional array of statistics from Thursday night’s game. Taylor Myers led the Lady Warriors in kills, racking up a total of 19 on the night. Emma Morlock added 10, while Abby Gallaher collected 7. Meghan Cantolina led the Warriors in digs, accumulating 12. The Lady Warriors also had a phenomenal serving game. Morgan Glace led the team in service points with 19 and also finished the night with 44 assists. Ella Miller had a great serving night as well, adding 12 service points. The JV team pulled out a win in 2 sets. The Lady Warriors travel to Clearfield on Monday to take on the Lady Bison for a second time.
