The Lady Warrior volleyball team took on the Lady Damsels of Moshannon Valley on Tuesday night. The team began the night vigorously, pulling out a win in the first set 25-6. In the second set, the Lady Warriors continued strong while allowing some underclassmen to step in, winning with a score of 25-10. By the final set of the night, nearly every player on the team had an opportunity to play and the team still kept up, winning with another score of 25-10. “We were in system all night. That made it a lot harder for them because they had to dig the ball. I thought that was the key tonight,” said head coach Terry Trude.

This solid win resulted in a wide range of statistics from the Lady Warriors. Middle hitter Taylor Myers led the team in kills, ending the game with 10. Meghan Cantolina followed, accumulating 6 kills, as well as 6 digs. The hitting success throughout the game landed Morgan Glace with 27 assists. The Lady Warriors had a very strong serving game as well. Freshman Katrina Cowder collected 5 aces in the second set while Meghan Cantolina added 6 service points, including 4 aces. Corrin Evans also achieved 5 service points. The Junior Varsity team won in a two set sweep. Senior night will take place on Thursday while the Lady Warriors host Bellwood-Antis.
