Lady Warriors Win ICC Championship

The Lady Warrior Volleyball team achieved its 12th overall ICC championship on Tuesday night against the Lady Warriors of Everett. This was also the seniors’ fourth consecutive ICC championship. The West Branch Lady Warriors entered the game with a mindset to win, playing their hearts out. Everett entered the game 15-0, hoping to continue their winning streak. Unfortunately for them, the Lady Warriors were destined to win. West Branch downed Everett in three quick sets ending with scores of 25-14, 25-20, and 25-21. West Branch senior, Taylor Myers says, “This win was such an accomplishment and I’m so proud of us five seniors for pushing harder every day in order to reach our goals. Our fourth win in the ICC championship shows how dedicated we are.” Senior Emma Morlock is also very proud of her team; she says, “This team is like family to me and I am so proud of everything we have and are going to accomplish.”
The Lady Warriors racked up some incredible statistics throughout their win, including Emma Morlock with 11 service points, Taylor Myers with 8 kills, Morgan Glace with 30 assists, Meghan Cantolina with 8 digs, Abby Gallaher with 5 digs, and Corrin Evans with 5 digs as well. The West Branch Lady Warriors will move into district six playoffs next week.
