Warrior Cross Country Team Closes the Season at District 6 Championships

The West Branch Cross Country team races against several other school districts.

The West Branch Cross Country team competed in the Single-A District 6 championship at Indian Valley Elementary School, concluding their 2020-2021 season. The race was held on Saturday, October 31st, a perfect day for cross country runners as the air was brisk and cool.

In the Single-A boys race, there were a few improved times from the WB runners. Sage Carr placed 18th with a finishing time of (18:18) and Justin Mulhollem finished 31st with a seasonal best of (19:26). Jett Houser had a PB of (21:19), Jacob Alexander had a PB of (21:21), and Hayes Jones had a seasonal best of (22:39). There were a total of 104 boys that ran the Single-A boys race. West Branch placed 7th out of 14 teams in the district. During the JV boys Single-A race, WBXC runner Bradely Wood medaled 5th out of 29 runners.

The West Branch girls’ XC team ran extremely well last Saturday as well. West Branch’s sophomore runner Erika Alexander ran a seasonal best time (23:49), placing 43rd out of 92 girls in the race. Overall, the West Branch Cross Country team did extremely well this season and will graduate six very dedicated seniors this year.
