The West Branch Cross Country team graduates six dedicated and really motivated runners that have worked very hard over the years. They have set an incredible example for the underclassmen for the years to come. This year’s seniors of 2020 include: Jack Danko, Joey Trimpey, Doug Kolesar, Hayes Jones, Justin Mulhollem and Brianna Bone. The seniors’ last season was one of the best in WB history, as they finished with a record of 5 wins and 4 losses, along with placing 2nd in the ICC meet at Juniata Valley. Our seniors had participated in the District 6 meet, placing 7th out of 14 teams in the District.

The seniors had some amazing seasonal bests for this season. Justin Mulhollem was the 2nd fastest runner on the West Branch Cross Country team and  had a SB (seasonal best) of a 19:26, along with Joey Trimpey being the 3rd fastest on the team and had a SB of 20:26. Jack Danko was one of our anchors for the team that had a SB of 22:30, while Hayes Jones was another anchor for the team that had a SB of 22:07. Our female senior Brianna Bone had an awesome final season and had a season record of 25:40. Brianna is very dedicated when running and determined to do better each race.

These six seniors have accomplished a lot over the years of running cross country. There are three vetern seniors that did all four years of West Branch Cross Country. They are as follows: Jack Danko, Brianna Bone and Douglas Kolesar. Hayes Jones has three years of cross country underneath his belt and has worked hard at practice to become a better asset to the team. Justin Mulhollem has dedicated 2 years into cross country and improved a lot over the past two years, as he was always in the lead during meets. This was Joey Trimpey’s first year running cross country and he did extremely well running after not really knowing what cross country was.

The XC seniors have accomplished many achievements this season, as well as others over the years and will continue to strive for goals in their future lives. Justin Mulhollem, Doug Kolesar, Joey Trimpey, Jack Danko, Hayes Jones, and Brianna Bone will be missed from the West Branch Cross Country team.
