On January 10th, 2021, there were a total of 56 case reports on positive COVID-19 tests and sadly one death within our community. Weekly, there is an average of about 71 Coronavirus cases found in our county. Various other counties within the southwestern region of Pennsylvania also had over a dozen new cases to report each day.
As a nation, we should be putting our best foot forward to maintain a decently balanced community, health wise. Slowing the spread of the virus will not only save lives in Pennsylvania, but will overall benefit the entire nation, as well as other countries across the globe.
Cloth masks, hand sanitizer, and social distancing will be the most effective methods of safety against this deadly pandemic. In order to protect the citizens and ourselves in our area, these methods must be thought about and done at all times, unless under quarantine. Keep in mind that if you or a loved one have a cough, sore throat, or loss of senses, calling the doctor immediately and going under quarantine is the best option.
A smart and safe new option created in 2020 is the COVID Alert Pennsylvania mobile app. This app will always keep individuals informed about the recent cases. The Department of Health updates the information on this platform daily on the cases of COVID-19, deaths, and other informative data. To get in touch with this department, call 1-877-PA-HEALTH line. As citizens, we should always rely on services like these to provide us with as much support and comfort as possible.
