Jenna Mertz goes up to score a point for the Warriors.

Jenna Mertz has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of The Week for the week ending on 2/18/22.  Mertz is a sophomore starter for the Lady Warrior basketball team. She has been playing basketball since fifth grade, and continues to show her skills. Mertz scored 92 points for the Warriors last week, and also had a career-high 32 points against Curwensville.

Head Coach, Justin Koleno, had a couple things to say about Mertz. “Jenna is a captain on the team that leads very well by example. She leads us in points and gets a lot of deserved recognition for her offensive stats, but her defense is often overlooked. She is a problem on both ends of the court. Every team we play has a game plan against her.”
