The Warriors traveled to Claysburg, looking to get above the .500 mark on the year and they did just that. The squad put up 4 in the first inning after a walk was drawn and the runner was driven in from Zack Tiracorda’s double. Zack then scored after a triple by Lukas Colton. Colton and Owen Graham also scored in the inning after Graham stole second and was driven in by Logan Folmar, getting a single. The third inning was a big one, as sophomore Isaac Tiracorda hit a grand glam for his first varsity home run. Isaac also had a double to propel West Branch to a win. The offense kept rolling as 6 out of 10 Warrior hitters all had hits.
On the defensive side, Zack Tiracorda had yet another standout performance on the mound, holding the Bulldogs to only 2 runs, both of which were unearned. Zack tallied a total 14 strikeouts and gave up only one hit.
West Branch’s record improves to 4-3 overall, 3-3 in the ICC, and 1-1 in the Mo Valley League.
