Marley Croyle has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of The Week for the week ending on 5/27/22. At the District 6 Championship meet, Croyle placed fourth in javelin, concluding her season. In Marley’s sophomore season, she was named an Outstanding Thrower, named ICC champion, broke the school record for females in pole vault, placed third in javelin at the Altoona Mountain Lion Track and Field Classic, and was a ribbon winner at the Juniata Valley Invitational and many more achievements.
Head Coach, Adam Carr, says, “ While we are certainly disappointed that Marley did not make a repeat trip to states; she had an amazing season. Marley on average threw considerably farther this year, hitting throws over 100 feet on a regular basis. She had an exciting final throw at the ICC championship of 112 feet 4 inches, which won her the event, and secured her the title of ICC champion in javelin. She also won the outstanding thrower from the ICC championship meet. Marley came into districts ranked third, but ended up fourth. You need to be in the top three to qualify for states. Her last throw of 108 feet 1 inch was only a little over 1 foot off of the third place. An amazing season from an amazing athlete.”
