Landon Bainey is Warrior Watch’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 01/28/23. Landon has been wrestling for the last 13 years. At the Ultimate Warrior Tournament, in the round of 32, he pinned his opponent in 1:30. In the round of 16, the match-up before the quarterfinals, Landon pinned in one minute. In the quarterfinals, he pinned in one minute again. In the semifinals, Landon won by decision 2-0. In the finals, he won by decision 2-1. For this season, his record is 32-1 with 24 pins. 

Brielle Bainey says, “I believe Landon works extremely hard all year long. Everyday he is at the YMCA lifting weights and four of those days he is pulling double duty, attending club practices at 4M or driving to Pleasant Gap to practice at M2. Landon also has increased his workout routine this season as he wakes up some mornings to run 3-4 miles before a match or school, all for his main goal of becoming a PIAA state champion. He puts in a lot of time and works very hard for his accomplishments.”
