Kayleigh Smeal is graduating from West Branch Area High School with the Class of 2023. She has been involved in basketball for four years, marching band for four years, National Honor Society for two years, Tri-M for two years, and student government for two years. Her favorite memory from West Branch was her fifth-period study hall. The teacher that has made the most positive impact on Kayleigh was Mr. Jones. She said, “Mr. Jones has made the biggest impact on me because he has taught me many life lessons, and was able to build up our music program from basically nothing.” Kayleigh has received an award from the music program called the Butterworth/Beakley Underclassman Award. She will attend The University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Biology.
