It’s not every day that you meet someone who is beyond passionate about what they do, but for Athletic Director David Williamson, that is exactly how he does things. David’s enthusiasm for his job was recognized, as this year he was rewarded as the Athletic Director of the Year in Region 3 of our state.

In his 18th year as the athletic director at West Branch High School in District 6,  David followed his mentor, Gary Hubler, into this role.  David is a 1999 graduate of West Branch High School and was a three-sport athlete earning letters in the sports of football, wrestling, and baseball.  David went on to attend Lock Haven University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in sports administration, and later returned to Lock Haven University and earned a Master’s degree in Alternative Education.  David also serves in the roles of transportation director and attendance administrator at West Branch.  David has been an assistant coach in the wrestling program for 23 seasons.

David currently serves as the assistant executive director of the Inter-County Conference under another one of his mentors, Jeff Batzel.  David also currently serves as the president of the District 6 Athletic Directors Association.  This group is comprised of an outstanding group of athletic administrators who collaboratively have assisted in helping District 6 become one of the strongest districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. David exclaims how much this means to him, “Thank you again to the administrators, coaches, board of directors, and the student-athletes and parents of the West Branch School District for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your athletic director. I look forward to the many memories that will be made in the years to come. Special thanks to my family for their never-ending support.  GO, WARRIORS!!!”
