Bella Nelson has been selected as the Warrior Watch Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 2nd, 2026. Nelson is one of two pitchers on the Lady Warrior Softball team. So far this season, Nelson has an ERA of 2.78 and 46 strikeouts. Nelson is also strong at the plate, holding a batting average of .347 with four doubles on the year. At a recent game against Mount Union, Nelson recorded three strikeouts. In another matchup against Williamsburg, Nelson continued her strong play on the mound.

Senior teammate Cheyenne Bush states, “Bella Nelson has been doing very well this season. She is very reliable and always helps the team in all the right moments. She is only a sophomore, but she’s stepped up in hitting and pitching. I’m so happy that I have been able to play with her, and I know that she will do great things during the rest of her career.”
