Female Athlete of the Week: Jenna Mertz

Jenna Mertz, a junior, has been named the Female Athlete of the Week of Warrior Watch for the week ending on 12/17/22. During the girls’ last home game against the Harmony Owls, Mertz scored 30 points for the Lady Warriors. In addition, to start the new season, Mertz scored her 500th career point at their first game. Jenna Mertz has been the leading scorer for the Lady Warriors in several of their games. Jenna supports the Lady Warriors on both sides of the ball. Defensively, she gets several steals, along with rebounds. Mertz has started for the Lady Warrior Basketball team for the past three seasons and continues to advance the Lady Warrior program.

Teammate Bella Koleno said, “Jenna is a great contributor on offense and defense.”
