If you like Christmas movies like I do, here are some you should consider watching over Christmas break: Elf, The Grinch, Home Alone, The Polar Express, and A Christmas Story. Each of these movies has very interesting plots and characters. My overall favorite is The Grinch, especially the live-action featuring Jim Carrey because you can relate to it more when it is more realistic. However, all of the movies listed are very excellent picks and they will all help you get into the Christmas spirit.

Sophomore Makenzie Fetterolf says, “Elf is my favorite Christmas movie because it is very chaotic and comical.” I agree that Elf is a perfect Christmas movie in the way that it is a very amusing movie and is something you can watch with people of all ages. If you want movies that you can watch with people of all ages so that you can watch them with your little siblings, then here is a list of kid-safe movies: A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and A Christmas Carol.

If you don’t want to watch a Christmas movie that is kid-friendly then here are some other options of horror Christmas movies: The Mean One, Violent Night, Krampus, Silent Night, and It’s a Wonderful Knife. These are all very good options for Christmas Movies that are more than just a little Christmas movie but with a twist of horror added to them. My overall favorite horror Christmas movie is The Mean One because it is supposed to be like The Grinch, which is my favorite Christmas movie. I hope you can get cozy with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy all of these wonderful movies and not stay too bored over this long Christmas break that we have ahead of us.
