The graduating seniors in the West Branch Marching Band are Megan Yingling (saxophone), Rachael Heitsenrether (clarinet), Josh Guerra and Kelly Fuller (trumpet), Hope Hess and Branden Evans (percussion), Juliana Windhorst (trombone), and John Arnold (baritone). In band front, there are 3: XXXXX and Allie Danko (majorettes), and Bethany Coudriet (silk).
When they were asked what they were going to miss the most, they said, with heavy hearts, their friends. They all believe that their friends from band and band itself have had an impact on their lives. Senior majorette Allie Danko said that she plans to eventually start a twirling group. So you can surely say that band has had an impact on her.
These seniors are taking great musical talents with them. Although some are leaving music behind others are going to enhance their abilities and one is even going into a music career. “I plan on majoring in musical therapy,” said senior clarinet Rachel Heitsenrether.
All the seniors in band believe that band is something you need. You learn from it, you make friends, these friends will last a lifetime. As we say goodbye to our seniors, we wish them two things, good luck and stay musical!
