The District 6 PMEA District Band Festival was held January 24th through the 26th. A total of 6 West Branch representatives were sent to Juniata High School but only one advanced to regionals. This deserving attendee has put hours upon hours of hard work and dedication into her music to make it perfect. The attendee advancing to Region Band is Senior, Rachel Heitsenrether. This is Rachel’s third consecutive year of attending Regional Band. Rachel gave her thoughts on attending Regional Band.

“I have been going to regional band three years in a row. Over the last two years, I have done nothing but improve and become a better musician. Of course I want to go to All-State Band, but in the end, it’s years of hard work that have made me the person and musician I am today.”

District 3 Regional Band Festival will be held at Altoona High School March 6th through the 8th with the concert on the 8th at 7 pm.

Advice from Rachel to anyone who wants to follow their dreams:

“Never give up on who you’re meant to be. Life will try to tell you who you are, but only you determine that. So never give up.”

Best of luck from all of us at Warrior Watch!
