Elishea Reed, the starting catcher on the Lady Warrior Softball Team, signed her letter of intent to play softball at Geneva College on Monday afternoon. Elishea will pursue a degree in Biochemistry and Pre Med. She has been the starting catcher for all four years of her varsity career.

Elishea said, “I decided to further my education and athletics at Geneva College for many reasons. The academics there are nationally known. The biology and chemistry department have the status of the American Chemical Society. They are the longest Christian college that has this status. Considering I want to double major in two science fields this was important. Softball was another reason I chose Geneva. I get the chance to play the game I love for four more years. The coaching staff and players are also amazing. Academics are the main priority to the coaching staff. However, the main reason I chose Geneva was the Christian aspect. The college dedicates everything to God and holds chapel on campus. I have prayed a lot about which college to go to and where I’ll fit in best but God knew. He told me that’s where he wanted me and that’s where I’m going.”
