As the 2026 school year wraps up and fall sports begin workouts, the Warrior volleyball team will look different. Kyla Kephart, Brielle Bainey, Bella Koleno, Madison Korb, Skyler Hebel, Haley Woodling, and Issabella Kerfoot will not be in attendance for the 2026-27 season. Those seven seniors left a legacy behind, something the program may never see again.

Those seven won four District 6 titles in four consecutive years, along with four ICC North titles and three ICC championships. They also earned tournament wins at the Disney Classic, Pottsville, Elk County Catholic, and St. Francis. The team ranked in the top 10 in Pennsylvania all four years. In 2022, they played Maplewood in the state finals. The following year, they returned to the state finals but fell short for the second straight season, losing to Elk County Catholic. The next year, they reached the Elite Eight before falling to Greensburg Central Catholic. They closed their careers against rival Berlin in the state tournament opener, falling in five sets. The group finished with a 157-17-9 record, leaving behind a standard that may not be matched.

In 2025, Kephart, Bainey, Koleno, and Woodling earned District 6 First Team honors. Kephart, Bainey, and Koleno also earned First-Team All-State honors in 2025, marking Kephart’s third all-state selection and Bainey’s second. Kephart earned First-Team All-State honors in three of her four high school seasons.

Athletic Director Davey Williamson said of the group, “This group of seniors will leave a legacy that will be remembered for years to come. They all contributed to one of the most successful runs as a program that West Branch has ever seen. They will indeed be missed and have set the bar really high for the future Lady Warriors.”

Leading the group was Kephart. She was a two-time First-Team All-State selection, two-time Progressland Player of the Year, and finished her career with 258 aces, 764 digs, and 2,498 assists. Kephart will continue her volleyball career at Geneva College at the Division III level.

Right behind her was Bainey, who recorded 130 aces, 1,143 digs, and 1,450 serve receptions. She was also a First-Team All-Stater and multiple-time First-Team All-Progressland selection.

Koleno was another key contributor, finishing with 652 kills, 242 aces, 568 digs, and 797 serve receptions while also earning multiple All-Progressland honors.

Woodling added 562 kills, 141 aces, 334 digs, and 257 serve receptions, also earning All-Progressland recognition.

Hebel recorded 112 aces, 339 digs, and 409 serve receptions while earning honorable mention All-Progressland honors.

Korb contributed 133 kills during her senior season while adjusting to her first year as a starting middle hitter, becoming an important contributor for the Lady Warriors at the net.

Kerfoot also played an important supportive role throughout her career. Whether serving off the bench or encouraging teammates from the sideline, she consistently brought energy, positivity, and reliable serving to the Lady Warriors program.

Those seniors leave behind big shoes to fill after breaking records and reaching numerous individual and team milestones. With Coach Trude leading the way, the Lady Warriors will look to build on the foundation they left behind.
