For anyone looking for a fun, kid-friendly activity or festival this fall, Downtown State College is holding its 21st Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15th. The festival will take place at 127 South Fraser Street in State College, on the 200 Block of Allen Street and Sydney Friedman Park. The festival lasts from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
This family-friendly festival will have free pumpkins for the kids at the Martin’s Garden Center Pumpkin Patch with a pumpkin decorating activity. The festival will also have pony rides, a fun house, photo stations, food vendors, and even more excitement. There will be a special appearance by magician Richard Benninghoff that will include free balloon animals, free face paintings, and activities with the State College local legend, Monster D.
Although this fall festival has plenty of activities geared toward children, older folks have a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Carrie Underwood performance at the Bryce Jordan Center in February of 2023. The show will be a part of “The Denim and Rhinestones Tour.” There will be small businesses at the festival to appeal to the adults as well.
The schedule for the festival on October 15th is as follows:
10:00 a.m.- Trioarts project
11:00 a.m- Adem Swartz Puppet Show for the kids
12:00 p.m- Capvara the Clown children’s entertainment show
1:00 p.m- Central PA dance workshop
