Female Athlete of the Week: Makiya Mack

Makiya Mack has been a steady contributor for the Lady Warriors as a middle hitter.

Senior Makyia Mack has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on 10/13/24. Mack serves as the starting middle hitter for the Lady Warriors Volleyball team. Mack is a key player and is a huge contributor to the team’s success. Mack leads the team in many categories such as kills, total blocks, average kills per set, and hitting percentage. She has 217 kills this season. She averages 3.1 kills per set and has a hitting percentage of 0.355. She also leads the team in total blocks with 28 on the season. Her teammate, Kyla Kephart, commented,” Makiya is a huge leader on the court and is positive towards her teammates. She knows when to make the smart plays and knows how to bring up the team during rallies. This season she’s been a go-to hitter and can always try to score to help her team.”
