Food collected by students and staff of WB
During the week of December 10th, grades 9-12th were in competition to see who could bring in the most food bank donations to earn points for the Reindeer Games. The Food Bank is across the street at the Gethsemane Church. The Food Bank helps many people in the area and generally serves between 145 and 160 families a month. During the week, students raised enough food items to take care of the items needed for a month!
We collected:
- 122 boxes of cereal
- 192 veggies
- 89 cans of fruit
- 20 jars of peanut butter
- 20 jars of jelly
- and lots of canned meat and pasta
The generosity of West Branch as a school has really shown through this past week.
