Taylor Myers has been chosen as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week of 9-28-20. Taylor is a very valuable player to the Warriors; she has started varsity since her freshman year. She even plays three positions: Middle, outside hitter, and blocker. Taylor shined in these positions against Claysburg and Mount Union. Racking up 13 kills and 4 blocks against Claysburg-Kimmel and 11 kills against the Trojans. Taylor has been playing volleyball since the sixth grade so it is no surprise why she has so much success on the court.

“Taylor is an impact player for our team.” says Coach Terry Trude. Taylor was a “Progressland Player of the Year in 2019” and a “First Team District 6 Class A All-Star.” “Taylor is a dynamic athlete and can score points for our team in a variety of positions. Great server, plays good defense, and a great arm swing. She has a goofy personality which makes our team have fun but still train at a high level” – Coach Trude.

Taylor’s goals for the season are to set a new school record for most career kills, win districts, and then make it to states.
