Erika Alexander has been selected as the Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 10/24/20. Last Thursday, at the Warriors ICC meet at Juniata Valley High School, Alexander placed 8th with a time of 25:25. Her times have been consistent and very impressive throughout the season.  Alexander will be running at the District 6 meet next Saturday at Big Valley. Erika is a sophomore and has been running cross country for two years. She is going to be a key asset for the Warrior Cross Country team in the future. Head coach Jane Catanzaro elaborates on her ongoing progression as a runner:

She is developing into an excellent runner. She is a hard worker who has the determination to be a successful runner. Finishing 8th at the ICC Conference meet as a sophomore is quite an accomplishment. She also has earned recognition as an ICC All-Star for 2020. She won four races in dual meets. We only see her getting better and better. It will be fun and exciting to see what she can accomplish during her junior and senior years.
