Jenna Mertz has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending 1/14/22. Mertz has continuously been proving herself on the Lady Warrior basketball team. She is a starter player on the team and plays as the team’s point guard, a position where she is able to rack up points for West Branch. Currently, Mertz is the leading scorer on the team. She has 87 points on the season so far, as well as 20 rebounds. She has been playing basketball since fifth grade and has grown to become a valuable player. She was named the Most Valuable Player at the West Branch Holiday Tournament a few weeks ago and continues to impress the West Branch community. Teammate on the Lady Warrior basketball team, Emily Parks has a few words about Mertz , “We can always count on Jenna in many of our close games and we always know she down to make a Tik Tok at any time.”
