Brooke Bainey waits in the box for the next pitch
Brooke Bainey has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 5/13/22. Bainey is a sophomore starter for the Lady Warrior Softball team and starts at third base. Bainey can also catch, and also plays shortstop. Brooke has been playing softball for 8 years.
Current teammate, Mallory Graham says, “Brooke is an all around athlete. You could put her anywhere and she would get the job done. Brooke has helped the team a lot starting at third base and batting second. Bainey covers a lot of ground at third, diving back and forth and handling balls left and right. Having Brooke in the batting lineup has helped a lot too. She’s constantly making contact when we need it most. One thing Brooke is most known for is her base running. Brooke is a great teammate and never gets down on the team or herself. She always has a positive attitude and always has hope in the game.”
