The Cross Country team puts forth all of their energy at a meet.

The Boy’s Cross Country team, consisting of Noah Ryder, Jacob Alexander, Sage Carr, Kevin Hurley, Braden Brown, Payton McCloskey, and Noah Marcinko, was chosen for Warrior Watch’s Male Athletes of the Week for the week ending on 10/21/22. This year the Boy’s Cross Country team spent time breaking personal records and bringing West Branch weekly wins. The boys most recently won the ICC Conference Championship, and each member played a crucial role in their win.

Favorite Cross Country Memory: Last year, when Mrs. Catanzaro told him she was proud of him after he broke 20 minutes. 

 

Jacob Alexander:

Grade: 11

Siblings: Erika Alexander and Zoe Alexander-Dickson

Future Plans: Go to college for Biology

Favorite Food: Peanut Butter

Favorite Cross Country Memory: When he got half of the team lost running through the woods.

 

Sage Carr:

Grade: 11

Parents: Josh and Tabytha Carr

Siblings: Zaid and Ender Carr

Future Plans: Attend college and major in business or finance

Favorite Food: Anything from Chipotle

Favorite Cross Country Memory: Passing and beating the same guy in an opposing team by one second in two different races this year.

Future Plans: Go to the Military

Favorite Cross Country Memory: Fun Run Friday, when they run to the interstate tunnels.

 

Braden Brown:

Grade: 11

Parents: Dustin and Kristina Brown

Siblings: Liam Brown and Laken Pewanic

Future Plans: Become a mechanical engineer

Favorite Food: Texas Roadhouse Rolls

Favorite Cross Country Memory: Trying to steal a chair from Juniata Valley.

Future Plans: To become a nurse or something else in the medical field

Payton McCloskey:

Grade: 9

Parents: Josh and Olivia Heuby

Siblings: Pierson Heuby

Future Plans: To go to the CCCTC for nursing, then carry on his studies at Lock Haven to become a Registered Nurse.
