Male Athlete of the Week: Joel Evans

Joel Evans, sophomore, has been named Male Athlete of the Week of Warrior Watch for the week ending on 01/21/23. Joel has had a steady presence on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball for the Warrior Basketball team this season. Last week defensively, Joel added several rebounds when the Warriors faced Northern Cambria. Later into the week, Joel added 17 more rebounds for the Warriors against Mount Union on Friday, January 20th. On the offensive side of the ball, Joel racks up several points for the Warriors every game. Against Nothern Cambria, Evans put 11 points on the scoreboard. On Friday, when the Warriors faced Mount Union, Joel put seven points up for the Warriors.

Teammate Brody Rothrock said, “Joel is entertaining to watch from the sidelines. You can tell by watching him that he is always putting his best effort at games and practices.”
