Sage Carr, a junior, has been named the Male Athlete of the Week of Warrior Watch for the week ending 03/25/23. Starting the new season, West Branch Track and Field faced Tyrone as their first opponent. Sage participated in the 4×800 relay, where they placed first, and had a running time of 9:09:81. Sage’s second event was the 400-meter run, where he also earned first place at 52.95 seconds. Sage fell just short 0.66 of a second from breaking the school record set by Ethan Slippery in 2012. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, the meet was called to an end before they could finish all the events.

Teammate, John Stavola, said, “Sage and I keep each other’s standards high in things like practice, weight room, and meets. We don’t let each other fall short or skip the last mile.”

Facts About Sage:

Parent(s): Tabytha and Josh Carr

Sibling(s): Zaid and Ender Carr

Pet(s): Bracky

Favorite Color(s): Purple and Orange

Favorite Fast Food: Chipotle

Biggest goal for the season: To break more records and make it to states.
