The West Branch Competitive Cheer team has been selected as Warrior Watch’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on 1/26/24. Instead of selecting just one West Branch female athlete, it was decided to pick the whole West Branch Competitive Cheer team as the team of the week instead of the female of the week. The Lady Warrior Competitive Cheer team went to Hershey to compete in the PIAA Cheerleading State Championship. After competing on Friday they advanced to the semi-finals. This is a very huge accomplishment for the team because they are only the 2nd team in West Branch’s competition cheer program history to make it to compete in the semi-finals. After competing on Saturday, they unfortunately didn’t advance to the finals. This ends their season. Senior Alayna Phillips said, “This year, states was an unforgettable weekend, I’m going to miss this more than anything.”
