Thursday, May 2, 2024, the Warrior baseball team took on the Golden Tide of Curwensville for the second time this year. In the top of the first, the Tide had runners on 1st and 3rd before Luke Liptak struck out Meryk Sutika for the third out. Then, in the bottom of the 1st, Isaac Tiracorda started things off with a double and was hit in on a Lukas Colton double to make it 1-0 Warriors. Following that was a very lackluster second inning from both sides with there only being a walk and a hit by pitch for the Warriors. Then in the bottom of the 3rd, Isaac Tiracorda got things going once again with a triple that hit off of the bottom of the fence in center. Lukas Colton was then walked and then both were hit in by a Brody Rothrock double to make it 3-0. Later in the inning, Brody then scored on a Nick Parks single. Things were then awfully silent until the top of the 4th where Curwensville had runners on first and third once again and catcher Isaac Tiracorda back picked Meryk Sutika at third base to get out of the jam. Finally, the Warriors then rallied in the bottom of the 5th starting with a Tyler Wilson double, followed by a Nick Parks hit by pitch, and a Coby Kephart single to load the bases. Gavin Rothrock and Zachary Mcgonigal both drew a walk to make the score 6-0. Tiracorda then singled to left scoring both Coby and Gavin. Lukas Colton then singled to score Zachary to make it 9-0. Brody Rothrock then walked things off with a single to left field that scored Isaac. Junior Lukas Colton stated, “It was cool,” after Brody finished the game off with that hit. With that win, the Warriors are way ahead in the ICC North Division and are now ranked 3rd in the District 6 AA rankings.
