Dylan Ryder has been selected as the Warrior Watch Male Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on 10/19/24. At a quad meet against MoValley, Northern Bedford County and Williamsburg on October 9th, Ryder set a personal record with a time of 22:42. As the only male runner for the Warrior’s cross country team, he is keeping the team alive.
Ryder explains, ”I would have to say that my performance would have to go towards my brother Noah. He’s the one who got me to do cross country in the first place and ever since that, I have gotten better and faster in every race I run.” Ryder also shared his favorite aspects of cross country: “The practices are hard some days but other days it can be fun. When meet days come it’s not about competing for me it’s about beating my previous times at the other meets I have ran.”
